Energy Transition Joint Lab CSIC-ALBA Officially Inaugurated to Boost Research in Batteries and Superconductors

The inauguration of new research infrastructures—including the Battery Lab and advanced instrumentation for catalysis and superconductor research—took place in December 2024. These facilities were developed by researchers from ICMAB-CSIC and ITQ-CSIC, in collaboration with the Experimental Division of ALBA, and funded through the CSIC Interdisciplinary Thematic Platform for Sustainable Energy Transition (PTI-TRANSENER+). Our team contributed to these developments by designing and implementing new remotely controlled setups, now available to the entire ALBA user community for the investigation of catalytic processes under operando conditions.
