The MSc Thesis of Carlos is awarded at the CIMSA Sustainability Awards 2026, which recognized the best MSc theses at the Polytechnic University of Valencia related to Sustainability and Environmental protection.
Carlos Andrés Durán Bustamante has been awarded the Second Prize for Best Master’s Thesis in Sustainability and Environmental Protection at the XVI CIMSA Sustainability Awards 2026, which recognize the best Bachelor’s and Master’s theses at the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV) related to sustainability and environmental protection.
Carlos received this distinction for his MSc thesis entitled «Development and Optimization of Separation Techniques for High Value-Added Chemicals from Fischer–Tropsch Hydrocarbon Matrices«, carried out within the Master’s Degree in Sustainable Chemistry. The work was supervised by Dr. Gonzalo Prieto González, with Dr. Ilaria Ceteroni serving as experimental co-supervisor.
The awards ceremony took place on 31 March 2026 at the Assembly Hall of the School of Industrial Engineering of the UPV. Organized by the CIMSA Sustainability Chair, the event celebrated outstanding academic contributions addressing key environmental and sustainability challenges.
This recognition highlights Carlos’s excellent work and dedication, as well as the commitment of our research group to advancing innovative and sustainable solutions through high-quality research.
